Glasgow's Pride Shop - Visibly Proud
We are Celebrate With Pride. Glasgow's LGBTQ+ Pride shop, owned and run by an LGBTQ+ Family.

We first pulled up the shutter on our wee shop at the Barras Market, Glasgow in May 2022. We did so with one clear aim in mind; to provide a space of queer joy, visibility and celebration.

VISIBILITY MATTERS
We are faced with so many heteronormative messages from the minute we are born, which can be so damaging for those of us who don't feel like we fit that "norm". It is vital that we allow people to love themselves for who they are and to know that they are not alone. Everyday representation and visibility matters.

QUEER JOY FOR ALL
As sung by Gloria Gaynor, "I am what I am" is a phrase we would love all queer people to embrace. For us queer joy is an act of resistance against the restraints of growing up in a "straight" world. It's the freedom and joy you get when you live your life your way, in spite of the expectations put on you.

CELEBRATE WITH PRIDE

Our message to the world is simply this: We are valid, we exist, we matter. So, shake off those shackles of shame, embrace that queer joy and celebrate being you with PRIDE!!!
